This is another Kao Tom (rice soup) place in Chiang Mai, where you can get a full range of Thai dishes with either normal rice or rice soup. Order a main course and you’ll get the rice soup for 1 baht, hence the name. They even have some brown rice, possibly because of the large numbers of foreigners that have went here.

It always seems lively here, especially later in the evening, when other places are about to close and this place is still open. The menu is quite big and has even some seafood and locally brewed soups on it.

Stir fried squid

Clams in chili

Deep-fried shrimps

Flat noodles with veggies

Locally brewed soups

Location: Rachadamnoen. Just off Taphae gate. From the western side of Taphae gate, Black Canyon, walk down south for about 100m.

Open: every day
